Subjects Taught

I graduated from Jackson-Central Merry High School in Jackson in 2003. I then moved to Starkville, MS to attend Mississippi State University. I majored in Elementary Ed and graduated from MSU in 2007. In 2015, I started pursuing my Masters in Instruction and Curriculum with an endorsement in Library Science.  I  graduated with this degree in May 2017. Every piece of my educational path has helped mold the person and the teacher I am today. I learned from some of the very best educators and I will continue to learn from many more!

This is my 8th year of teaching, and I have taught everything from second grade,  fourth grade, I was a reading interventionist, and finally landed my dream job as a school librarian. Teaching is not just my job; it’s my hobby and my calling! I can’t imagine being so fulfilled in any other profession. I am so excited for this year and cannot wait to be the new librarian at East Elementary!

I am married to Harrison Jones and we have 2 beautiful kids: Brody (8) and Addy June (6). In my spare time I love to read, run, and do any other physical activity. I also love family time!!
